Sergeant Andrei Wilkes, Russian agent of the Chaos insurgency stepped of the boat. He had done it. The schooner was in the hands of the insurgency. Nobody could stop them now. With the power of time travel, they could go back in time and rule the world.
As Wilkes walked out onto the pier. He noticed something. The city appeared to be in ruins. Skyscrapers lay in a rubbly heap, and the roads appeared broken and old. Curious. Wasn't this supposed to be the 1930's? Why would there be skyscrapers in the 1930-He slapped his hand to his forehead. Of course! He must have gone forward in time instead of backwards. What an idiot move. Sighing to himself, he prepared to go back into the schooner. Suddenly, a booming russian echo rang out from above him.
"WHO DARES TO TREAD THE EARTH, A PLANET I HAVE CRUSHED WITH MY WRATH?"
Sergeant Wilkes almost fell overboard in shock. He turned his gaze skyward, searching for what could have caused such a loud noise. What he saw was a massive shining light, drowning out all other lights. It looked like a massive explosion suspended in the cosmos, with a massive eruption of flames erupting from both ends, a viable terrestrial monstrosity. And it was looking at Wilkes with all of the hate it could muster from its flaming pulsar core.
"YOU DARE STEP UPON THE EARTH THAT HAS FELT MY DISPLEASURE? FALL BEFORE ME, MORTAL!"
And then the furious hateful being in the sky shot angry fire at him.
"Noooo!" said Wilkes, as he was consumed by the most hateful celestial body's angry flames.
And then the star ate the world.
